profile
Jen Connolly is a highly skilled Paediatric Occupational Therapist with over nine years of experience in the field. She graduated in 2015 with a First-Class BSc Honours Degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Cumbria. Prior to this, she earned a BSc in Life Sciences Applicable to Medicine from the University of Liverpool in 2008.
Jen’s passion for neurology was ignited during her six years as a Senior Therapy Assistant in Neurorehabilitation while completing her occupational therapy training. After qualifying, she immediately specialised in Paediatrics, where her dedication to helping children thrive became her lifelong focus.
During her first year as a qualified therapist, Jen developed an interest in CIMT and Bimanual Therapy while working with children aged 0–5 in early years and early intervention. Her passion for supporting the development of children’s neural pathways through neuroplasticity has remained central to her work.
Jen is trained in the Hammersmith Infant Neurological Examination (HINE) and the Hand Assessment for Infants (HAI), enabling her to provide an Early Identification and Support Service for children with neurological and upper limb developmental concerns. She is also highly experienced in designing and delivering CIMT and Bimanual Intensive Programs, tailoring therapy to meet the unique needs of each child and family.
Jen has extensive experience working with children with complex disabilities, aged 0–19, across various settings. She is committed to empowering families and supporting functional development through evidence-based interventions and play. Whether providing intensive therapy programs, early assessments, or promoting functional development through play positions, Jen’s focus is on making therapy engaging, effective, and fun.
Jen’s approach is centered on providing high-quality, evidence-based therapy programs that prioritize early intervention, developmental support, and family empowerment. Her goal is to help every child reach their full potential in a fun and supportive environment.
