About This Service
A parent led, specialist supported program designed to provide knowledge, confidence and individualised guidance for a number of weeks at home upper limb therapy treatment block, tailored to your child with hemiplegia.
A parent-led, specialist supported program combining the benefits of in person clinical expertise with ongoing guided support at home. This service is designed to provide knowledge, confidence and individualised guidance through a structured upper limb therapy treatment block which you complete at home.
Service Description
Early intervention is critical to maximising neuroplasticity and laying the foundation for future developmental success.
This program supports parents of children who show a preference for one upper limb or have been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy by combining hands-on clinical assessment with a structured, supported home therapy program.
You will receive:
- A comprehensive in-person assessment to understand your child’s current abilities and set meaningful, functional goals
- Hands-on teaching and coaching so you feel confident delivering therapy from day one
- A structured, evidence-based approach combining Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy (CIMT) and Bimanual Therapy
- Ongoing support, guidance and accountability throughout your therapy block
- Access to tools, resources and expert input to ensure therapy is both effective and achievable at home

How Will the Course Run?
Initial Assessment
- Initial Assessment (Face to Face): A play-based session where we assess your child’s movement, complete outcome measures where appropriate, and set individualised goals.
- Hands-On Parent Coaching: During this session, we will teach you how to carry out therapy at home, including how to grade activities and key CIMT and Bimanual principles.
- Individualised Therapy Plan: You will leave the session with a clear, tailored plan so you feel confident getting started straight away.
- Access to Online Modules: Following your assessment, you’ll receive access to our online modules to deepen your understanding and support your therapy delivery.
- Private Facebook Group: Join our supportive community and connect with therapists and other families.
During the Therapy Block
As the program progresses, we’ll support you every step of the way:
- Daily Therapy: Complete 30 minutes of therapy each day using your individualised plan.
- 1:1 Zoom Calls: Weekly personalised sessions with your therapist to ensure you understand the principles and feel confident in applying them.
- Monthly Q&A Sessions: Join live Zoom calls to ask questions and receive guidance.
- Community Support: Stay connected via the private Facebook group for ongoing advice, encouragement and shared experiences with other parents.
After the Therapy Block
Your journey doesn’t end here:
- Final Assessment (Face to Face): Review progress, update outcome measures and celebrate achievements
- Personalised Continuation Plan: Clear guidance on how to maintain and build on progress at home. Which we can teach in person so you feel confident to continue.
- Ongoing Membership Option: Join at a reduced cost for continued support, resources and expert input to keep your momentum going

Cost of the Program
The course costs £1450. For the same level of face to face intervention and support, you would typically pay over £2,500, making this program both accessible and cost effective.
